Hi Torpedo families!

We have an important update about tonight’s meet against Miami Hills.

Miami Hills woke up this morning to a flooded pump room due to last night’s storms and unfortunately is unable to host tonight’s meet.

We offered to step up, hire staff, and host the meet at Turpin Hills, but they declined. As a result, tonight’s meet will now be a virtual meet.

What does that mean? Both teams will still compete, just at separate locations and at times that work best for each team. For us, that means we still get to swim and dive tonight… and we get to do it AT HOME!

Here’s tonight’s schedule:

Dive 

4:30-5:00 PM — Warmups 

5:00-5:30 PM — Dive Meet

Swim 

5:45-6:15 PM — Warmups

6:30 PM — Swim Meet Begins

A few notes for tonight:

• There will be NO concessions, so please bring your own food, drinks, and snacks.
• We will have LaRosa’s pizza delivered around 6:15PM for anyone interested.
• Please be patient with us as we work through logistics tonight. Hosting another home meet for the third week in a row definitely was not on our bingo card and is requiring extra efforts as we pivot. 
• We may need all hands on deck, so if we ask you to jump in and help, we’d really appreciate your flexibility and support.
• There is NO PARKING on the grass hill tonight due to the rainy weather. 

The good news is that tonight’s meet will move very quickly since only Turpin Hills swimmers and divers will be competing onsite.

Most importantly, we wanted to make sure our kids still had another opportunity to compete before Championships in a few weeks.
